This is how movies are made nowadays.
ALERT: not suitable for those who want to keep believing.
Today we played around with Google Insights. We started out by searching ‘sex‘ (of course) and discover that Vietnam and Eritrea are the countries most obsessed about it. ‘Free sex’ is the most sex-related search, and here we stopped our investigation.
We went on searching for terms that make a real impact in our personal lives: zombies vs vampires, unicycle vs spacecraft, palin vs obama, etc. We wrapped it up with a name search, and finally… Maria wins! (thanks to Brazil, wtf).
We end up searching war vs love, and we find out our next project, Okamore, will be successful :)
Just like Stalin used to remove people from pictures and pretend that they never existed, some guys do the oposite with Google (it’s just an analogy, don’t take me wrong) as if it always existed:

This video just sums up to my obsession about form, figure and background in interterface design. Check it out, it’s plain amazing:

You suddenly realize the world is well designed after you have a big plate of Mixiote Chicken (Mixiote Wheat Gluten for María) cooked by our always surprising comrade Mark Mackay.

There is beauty in everything, even in the most awful catastrophes. You just have to know the right angle to look from:

We are back! July was a tough and intense month. We closed may projects and left nothing (or almost nothing) pending so we could go to Vigo to focus on new stuff and relax a bit. It was more relax than focus but hey… we deserved it. August was complete disconnection from the studio matters and now… Man, we are back. New projects on the horizon, freshness and a huge blackboard…

We’ve been condecorated. After a huge load of work we deserved a reward. You don’t deliver/launch three projects in one month and move to a new office all at the same time.

Four beautiful timepieces (just three on the picture) have arrived at the office, each for one of the cosmonauts. They all are the same: the classic SEIKO 6139-7100 Helmet (a.k.a. Darth Vader) a collectors item (Spanish) and a very reliable wristwatch.
These watches were released to the market around 1972 and after more than thirty years they work just nice. Here is a good picture where you can see its beauty. And errr… yes, they also have the “vostok palette”:

Go ahead, ask us for the time!
Sam just found out this cool easter egg hidden inside the Apple Mighty Mouse: the red light projected by it ressembles something perhaps meant to look like a mouse but closer to Donnie Darko’s rabbit (a bit creepier, I’d say). Check it out:

BTW, we just checked and there seems to be just this little reference to this on the internets.
The guys from Röyksopp seem to be totally commited to awesomeness through amazing and delicious videos. You should check this new one, especially if you enjoy space invaders pixelart:

This is by far the most amazing snack that’s ever been eaten at the Vostok HQ:

Nagaraya barbecue cracker nuts, or as Mark calls them, Japanese peanuts. They seem to be regular peanuts covered with a crisp layer of wadus that’s both sweet and spicy. As they say:
Heat up the fun with hot & spicy flavor and have a ssssizzling great time! It’s like having fireworks with your snack or party.
They are imported from Philippines (globalization rules) and they have 0% tansfat and cholesterol. Science at its best!
There was a time when this disk was something important and had to be kept in a safe place.

We had some snow in Madrid and went out to have fun. Here’s Mark, enjoying the situation like a real man:

Andy Warhol, Bianca Jagger and Steven Spielberg. It’s short and it’s worth watching, really:
