Is he talking about the TV?, The radio? Our dishes? The subway? A book?

I get the point, but i think it’s a little bit of demagogy.

I guess he’s talking about computers, hence the “alert”.

Hummm… I don´t think it´s lifeless… There´s a whole bunch of people connecting through this machine. In fact, I´m interacting with you right now! hehe

Just trying to find the positive side of this!

    Have to agree with Zarate.

Plus, the phrase is incorrect. We’re not interacting with a lifeless machine, but with human beings. Thus we’re interacting THROUGH a lifeless machine and WITH lifeful beings. Which makes me think that the machine isn’t lifeless anymore.

Invoking McLuhan, if your speech are a means to express your thoughts or emotions, than a mouse can be that too. Technology and Web are just longer arms, wider brains, better eyes.
